Oh Shiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttt………Its the weekend Canada has been waiting for!!!!……….CROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
This Saturday in Toronto and Sunday in Montreal its an epic banger of biblical proportions!!!!! Get your tickets if you haven’t already…..This is one show you cannot miss….
If your in Toronto its going down this Saturday at Wrongbar. 1279 Queen Street West. With VNDLSM and NASTY NAV opening up…. $18.50 Advance tickets available at Rotate This and Play De Record and online at WANTICKETS.COMhttp://www.wantickets.com/?e_id=42401
Dutch Duo Mightyfools, consisting of Man Eat DJ and Jizm, tear this DMX track apart. A list DJs CROOKERS have even been known to play their shit! They’re young (20 and 17 respectively), they’re from Holland, they’re into fidget, they got fresh ideas, and they’ve got some tracks free for signing…
also another track off Ed Rec, Busy P’s To Protect and Entertain. Wasn’t a big fan of this electro/rap by Busy P, but Crookers originally being hip hop DJs, make a dirty track of it
Hate it or love it Lil Wayne is what’s happened to rap……and with lollipop hitting number one on the billboard tracks (his most commercially successful track to boot) he’s probably here to stay….so if The Carter 3 is your summer soundtrack here’s a couple remixes to keep you happy
Toronto/Missaussagians South Rakkas crew have produced the likes of Beenie Man, Elephant, bounty killer, and Sizzla…… and are probably responsible for more than their fare share of underage bubbling…..
They’ve now turned their considerable skills to churning out Electro dancehall bangers and are making heads turn….
PS: From their Myspace: “The team worked together in Canada, but struggled with the compromises they had to make due to the industries lack of interest in domestic urban music”
Straight from our hometown of Montreal, Nu Ravers On The Block make good music, throw epic bangers, design T-shirts and run a clean cut graphic design studio as their day job
I remember walking into their first show at Vinyl dead sober and having a fucking ball….but they’ve deffinately moved on up since good old Vinyl…… throwing down massively fun one-offs and making a serious name for themselves
Electronic darlings Ratatat are a New York City electronic music duo consisting of guitarist Mike Stroud and synthesizer driver and producer Evan Mast. They produce really deep electronic tracks….some of them featuring more than seventy accoustic samples overlapping each other in way far out out there electronic harmony.
Ratatat occasionally remixes other acts for collected release on Ratatat Remixes Vol. 1 (which garnered the attention of Rolling Stone), as well as the later second volume, both of which were self-released in co-operation with Audio Dregs. These tracks are pretty cool: The second self-released remix album Ratatat Remixes Vol. 2. includes performances from hip-hop artists U.G.K., Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Z-Ro.
You can cop the album from their website found here!!!
And here is a super dark MMathias remix and one of immuzikationsepic mash-ups for your listening pleasure…
