Teenage Bad Girl is French duo Guillaume Manbell and Greg Kazubski. Some say they are a genetic mix of Daft Punk, Aphex twin and The Stooges. They are part of the new french electro scene, together with Justice, Para One and a few others.
They released the 12 inch “Hands of a Stranger” in 2006, and also did a remix of Scissor Sisters song “I don’t feel like dancing”. In March 2007 they released their first album “Cocotte” on Citizen Records; the cd album includes 14 tracks and also two remixes by Boys Noize and Hystereo.
Black Holes reminds me of Crookers in the sense that their sound is just as hard (if not harder), embodies the right amount of crunk, and yes, employs slightly excessive repitition. Straight from Chicago, Illinois, their tracks are fucking insane if you ask me!!!
Holland’s house-music loving homeboy is responsible for his fairshare of epic buidlups…..here’s a couple of my favourite club bangers….
I love the way this guy is going…. Laidback Luke, A-trak, and Chew-Fu have for me have taken over Crooker’s once airtight spot of kings of electro ubiquitness + Amazingness that is so clutch in a producer….
Laidback Luke’s reworked 2001 club classic ‘Rocking with the best” with MC Goodgrip, took clubs by storm in Ibiza and put LBL on the map……..most clubs crowds will lose their minds to the guitar sample andthe incredible build-up
Then there’s this infectious LBL remix of the Ghostbusters theme ft Princess superstar which is my track of the moment, along with its complete opposite, The super hard and dark SebastiAn remix of RATM’s “Killing in the name of” which we’ll save for a later post…and although its by no means new It has that timeless dope mix of happyness, bangerness, and nostalgia that gets every dancefloor going nuts…
Last but not least LBL’s take on the ever remixed “Be”….. except I’m going to give you the Hardwell Bootleg with Showme love….which is like night and day different from LBL’s original remix but its better….so that’s what you get!
Hahaha No Post!!!! Go to hell!!!! No but seriously I have a really good fucking post…. and its in the works but my slow as ainternet is too frick fracking slow…and tomorrow I got to go to my boy frank’s farm to go eat hor d’hoevres all day and kill kegs while we admire his stallions so I doubt it will it get out,,,, but its goood…. its a bunch of amazing Liadback Luke traks that if you had any fucking decency you would buy… but you dont so you porbably wonn’t….NO BIG DEAL because I just wont post his best shit… SO IN YOUR FACE LOSER!!!!!
OK so also we have a party tomorrow…….Its at the DRake hotel… it should be amazing…. But all our parties are so whatever…..But also me and lil Liam are Djing…. and we have both been staring at the computer screen for hours on end getting an epic set together…. We’re not leaving anything to chance its going to be retarded…..so do something we wouldnt reccomend (it rhymes with bugs) and get your ass out to this party and jam with all your BFFFAEAESSSS who you love, one more time before we leave….
… All you pppl reading this post from the NEatherlands and Puertirico…. I got an ill couch you can chill on
Let’s Go To War are dj duo Peter-John and Sonny G from T.O. signed to Last Gang. Having already set clubs on fire alongside M.I.A they’re providing some of the best club tracks with hip hop roots these days.
The hot club track ‘Green Light’ by John Legend and Andre 3000 of Outkast has gotten the MSTRKRFT remix touch. It takes a while to get into, but, as always MSTRKRFT produces yet anotherbanger.
Girl rap duo KillaQueenz from Sydney, Australia are dropping their track ‘sweaty wet’ – obviously inspired by gameboy/gamegirl. Dropping some fresh flows on pumping electronic beats, these girls fit right in with the new ELECTRO-FIED rap scene.
So the talented MGMT put this track out…. 2 many DJs (Soulwax) remixed it…. and are now sitting on it…. When it drops my head is going to explode… until then just have to do with the original…. Not a club banger but pretty sick!
Ok so today’s another addition to my TIME festival love-in…. THis time a bunch of clips from the show…. The A-Trak clips are incredible… You can see everything he’s doing and is pretty much the last-word tutorial on how to DJ a party perfectly…. The Erol ALkan clip is insane, he’s spinning an unreleased Soulwax nite version remix of MGMT’s song Kids if I’m not mistaken….That song is going to be Soooo fucking epic when it drops…. and then there’s soulwax just blowing everyone’s mind though the video footage does no justice….enjoy!
