I don’t know what to say right now, this weather is brutal…. Mtl is just not doing it…..girls are dressed like eskimos, tans are already fading, cocktails have turned to double mocha frappe fuckingchinos and the school is in full miserable swing….. Last week we we’re all cruising around coral reefs in a party boat getting hammered, having live baracuda fights, sucking on toes, chugging tequila, peeing in the ocean, bleeding out our eardrums, seeing blonde and doing everything possible to lay waste to our already beleaguered livers, brains, and occasional noses….. and now here I am stuck in a bible and western culture class learning about how completely fucked I’m going to be when I finally shuffle off this mortal coil….

I’m not happy…. Any ray of sunshine I was looking forward to coming home too now seems to have dissapeared behind a big ol’ grey cloud of hate and misery…. I feel like throwing some really serious emo music on here to reflect my ever darkening mood…. But I wont because that would be soft

Instead I’ll throw on some  of the tunes that funelled our drug and alcohol fueled carnal orgy of sunny debauchery and bachallian hedonism…… LALALALALALALAL

Alright well this is some pretty old information but I was loafting and then killing my body in cancun….Which by the way is one fucking retarded place….. but yes back to the point….the MSTRKRFT album was leaked a couple weeks ago…. last time I checked by a stil unknown unsavoury entity although the MSTRKRFT camp seemed to have a good idea of who it was….they may have found out by now…as said just landed from Cancun….very out of the Blog buzz loop…. but here’s what Jesse from Mstrkrft had to say about the leak and the album:

” we dont make music so we can hide it away in an ivory tower.. we made that record for you and hopefully we can get all sorts of people who would never listen to this shit into it. youre right, its half club/half not. it was an experiment for us and it was a learning experience making it. i hope you can all hear it in full so it makes more sense. any one of the songs on their own wont get the point across. i want to trick people who would never listen to electro into loving it. people like you on the msg board already get it so some of this record might not feel like its for you… but please understand that its for your friends who think you listen to weird gay euro music… know what im sayin? hahaha “

Ok so that was kind of out of context…but basically if you havent heard the album its very much in the John Legend, Usher, and BOUNCE vein…that is to say kind of radio friendly, lots of big club bangers and a couple interesting softer stuff

Frr me the biggest tracks here are what MSTRKRFT is all about…… their signature sound….. put it up against any of your other favourite tracks and you will instants recognize a huge dip in the quality and fullness of the sound….its a testament to their electronic arsenal and the time they have taken to really getting the most out of their machines….the sound of this record is just so far and above anything else out there….

So in the name of MSTRKRFT Bromance….Im going to make a heartfealt plea….by all means find the leaked CD…..fuck theres no way after reading this you wont….. But when it drops officially go out and buy it…..buy a copy for a friend…..these guys are giants in a scene that does not get that much recognition or money….. so go support the dudes who helped bring electro to where it is now, who continually break boundaries and now with their new Cd are going to be acting as ambassadors for electro to the greater pop culture world….

And of course they got some big shows in Toronto and Mtl coming up! CHECK THEM OUT!!
