Ed Banger staple DJ Mehdi and Britain’s Riton have teamed up as Carte Blanche for a May and June 2010 European/North American tour. In their own words, it will consist of: four decks, a mixer, a 909, strictly house music, and noo bangers. Check out their recently released track for an idea of where this is headed.

Tensnake is a German disco producer who’s been getting alot of attention lately for his warm, rich and funky production style. (If that sounds vague, just give the tunes below a listen, and you’ll know what I mean.) If you’re into acts like Aeroplane, Lindstrom, and Classixx, you NEED to check this guy out.

Brand new remix of Major Lazer from our good friend Foamo, and as always its a banger! Been playing this one out for a bit, and it absolutely kills it in the club.
Ran across the video’s on the Fool’s Gold blog of this awesome set by Chilly Gonzales and A-Trak. If you don’t know Chilly he plays solo piano and layers all sorts of crazy accapellas over it….Be sure to download his incredible new mixtape

Not too long ago I posted about the amazing set I witnessed Renaissance Man play at Igloofest. Ever since that show, I’ve been following the Finish duo quite closely. I can safely say that night really helped me realize what I was looking for in house music. But before I go off on a tangent… This new mix has a bunch of new stuff including a track from their forthcoming ep and a Crookers remix (did NOT see that coming) as well as some classics like ‘Percolator.’ The biggest tunes for me are ‘Babbadabba’ (incredible!) and the Oliver $ track ‘I Hope’. Enjoy!

So Kanye just dropped his new blog Kanye 2010 and just like the man himself its larger than life…. The blog is just supersized pictures that take up the entire width of the screen… With most blogs reverting to small hypebeast type of layout I think its pretty refreshing and cool.
If you guys haven’t checked it before Kanye actually uses his blog…. his posts are uncensored, uncut and in caps lock. I’ve got in in my google reader and its a pretty good read.
MTV rolled out a few of their favourite Kanye West blog comments and Im just going to leave their article here: (MORE AFTER THE JUMP)
Here’s a sick promo video pairing legendary “Soul Assasin” DJ Muggs with streetwear brand UNDFTD. A sick message from Muggs himself, relevant to DJs of all types.
Riva Starr has become quite the household name in the past few months and looks like he will be in the limelight for awhile. I have really enjoyed just about everything I’ve heard from him over the past few months. Awhile ago, he released ‘Trompe D’Amour” as a free download from his blog. This song has seriously been stuck in my head for like a week. I’m absolutely loving this Jackin’ Tech-House sound right now and after the massive releases from Made To Play and Sound Pellegrino earlier in the week, I truly think this is the sound of 2010.

Continuing our coverage of Embrace’s Time Festival this summer with the headlining DJ… A-Trak. Unfortunately the former DMC champion and current electro heavyweight was too tired post-set to give us a full interview (considering it was 4am we understood) but here are some clips of his performance to enjoy…
