2 BEARS – CHURCH (GINGY REMIX)

Recently, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard linked up with Greco Roman’s Raf Rundell to start 2 Bears, a project promising “rump-shaking, unpretentious house.”  On this front, their debut Curious Nature EP definitely does deliver. However, I’m actually a big fan of the more melodic, chilled out tune on the release, Church. Check out the remix by my boy Gingy, which envelops the hook in a nice shuffle.  This dude may have a tough act to follow after last year’s huge release of Vaporizer with Bordello, but it seems like the pair stepped up to the plate since their next EP is forthcoming on Montreal’s own Turbo. Watch out.
