One of my favourite combos out there The Dooze Jackers are throwing a huge bday party tonight and if your in the MTl area you should definitely attend.

My ex-gf whose a bartender there says its consistently her least favourite night of the month because everyone is partying two hard, no one drinks except for water and when they do its tons of underage girls who dont tip… Sounds like an awesome party to me!

Plus the Doozejackers do the tropical house/dutch house sound better than anyone in the city and probably Canada so thats one last huge reason to.

15TH ANNUAL WEMF (ITS BACK!!!!)

Ontario’s biggest Electronic music festival returns August 12-14, 2011.

And the lineup is absolutely huge with a major lean to Dupstep and DNB. Skrillex, Rusko, Nosia, FLux Pavilion Infected Muhroom and the list goes on… this looks like the most evil electronic lineup Ive ever seen.

Here’s what the organizers have to say about it.

All the lineups have pretty much been released for arguably Canada’s coolest electronic music festival… Shambhala (Although Quebec’s piknck electronik might have something to say about that).

What’s obviously incredible about this party is the setting. Shambhala is held annually in early August on the pristine Salmo River Ranch, and boasts 6 uniquely themed stages.

Run free of corporate sponsorship and is funded solely by ticket sales Shambhala has grown into a legendary electronic shangrilah since its humble beginnings in 98 in the west kootenays.

Oh good lord…That was one for the ages. On March 19th Saintwoods threw down a massive party at Metropolis in Montreal featuring Kid Aloha, Love Thy Brother, Nero, Sound of Stereo, Brodinski, Calvin Harris, and Laidback Luke.

It was a cold night in Montreal. -43 degrees to be exact. Those who braved the extreme conditions were witness to one of the most well rounded sets in recent memory. We recorded it for your listening pleasure and will be posting it in the near future along with a video interview and footage from the night.
