So we are all a little fed up with this on-going obsession the film industry has with Superheroes. It may just be a sign that writers are suffering from a lack of creativity or that the movie execs really feel they are filling the needs of the market, but regardless the fact that we are now in a position where there is ANOTHER Spiderman coming out is a little disconcerting

(I hated the Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst series of movies, and thankfully we are looking at some serious improvements with Andrew Garfeild as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, but come on… another one series starting from the begining?!?!)

Anyways, enough with that rant for now, there is no question that within the endless list of recently rediscovered Superhero franchises the shinning light has been the new Batman series directed by Christopher Nolan and staring Christian Bale. The series has created legendary villains (most notably the Joker played by the late Heath Ledger) and brought the genre into a darker narrative allowing for the series to be enjoyed by fans of all ages. The movie’s release date is July 20th and the latest trailer makes me feel like it may be the most legendary superhero movie of all time; a big claim considering that The Avengers is coming out in 2 days and that’ll be the culmination of 3 other film series namely: Thor, Iron Man and Captain America.

With both of these epics coming out this summer it is without question that they will be compared endlessly and the DC Comics vs. Marvel Comics historical debate will once again be brought up. The New Jersey Brooklyn Nets have recently unveiled their logo for the upcoming 2012-2013 NBA season. Designed by Jay-Z this old school look is without question going to deliver some epic gear… 3rd party brands have already started putting their own spin on things like these kicks by Gourmet:
