JUSTICE: BEGINNING OF THE END PART 2
Ok so you guys heard the beginning of the end… I don’t really don’t think there is even room for debate — the drums are so bad you just know there is no way that it is Justice. Listen to Planisphere and then tell me those same guys made this.
I’m %99 percent sure.
But it got me thinking about that track Stand On the Word that came out by the mysterious Keedz two years ago…. (forgive me if this already got figured out I didn’t notice)
Now that was Justice deffinately.
I’m %99 sure.
The track has the super heavy stabbing drums… killer filter sweeps… uplifting children’s vocals… and a very Ed Banger music video…. that are all hallmarks of the duo…. plus if I recall correctly the original track was on their Christmas mix?
I’m actually terrible at scavenger hunts so maybe someone can enlighten me?

That has to be Justice… look up keedz and you find nothing, there myspace is a fake, you can’t find any info on them anywhere, they have never played a show. There is no way a band could make a song this good and never make another track or play a live show… it just doesn’t make sense

Cocky I would love to hear your logic….I need proof man!… From a production point of view that is Justice. from a common sense point of view what is the likelihood that some hithertoo uknown Dj who has never released a track puts out a song that sounds exactly like Justice with a song…. and instantly have it released on Universal Music France with an awesome Ed banger style video and then dissapear into thin air?

after an intense search…
Keedz – Stand on the world (320)
http://www.mediafire.com/?djgelmdomhj
it´s a re-recording of the Paradise Garage anthem by Joubert Singers. It was remixed and often played out by Larry Levan.
From Discogs:
“Stand On The Word” was first ever recorded live in the First Baptist Church in Crown Heights, NYC, in 1982.
Soon after the church pressed up a couple of hundred copies for the congregation, a couple of blocks away from Walter Gibbons’ Jus Born recording studios. Walter Gibbons had already turned new born Christian since a few years, avid Gospel records collector with that; and played the original recording often behind the counter at the 7th av. Rock and Soul shop were he worked. Walter Gibbons must be credited to have revealed this Phyllis McKoy Joubert song to New York most discerning DJs and soulful dance music aficionados, as it quickly became a Garage, Loft and Zanzibar club classic and ended up remixed by Tony Humphries for this wider release.
NB! Larry Levan´s mix was never officially released, but is available on a Tigersushi compilation and 12″ promo from 2003.

Larry Levan’s mix

I found a remix by “My Contact”
which is the same exact song as keedz

Who is keedz? Hard to say maybe it’s this contact guy but couldn’t find shit on him either.
ALSO
there is an remix of a remix called
“Stand on the world (Distort Remix)”
But since most of the blogosphere posted are outdated to back n 2008
it was impossible to find… but you can listen here

hmmm but it seems like still a mystery

keeds or justice, wasn’t the point of this post how badly the song sucked…you guys are going through your old files to find out what exactly…the source of the word fail
LOVETHYBROTHER on: January 28th, 2010 at 6:11 pm
BEginning of the end was obviously never Justice. Ed Banger disproving that was just a matter of time
Keedz track is Justice
Puninsher… original sample is from that choir… that doesn’t mean its not Justice…. neither is the fact that Larry Levan did a mix first. I knew all that before….(There was a debate in 2008 about who’s remix was better that’s the only relevence)
The contact thing is the same song or maybe some slight edit? Didn’t have time to listen to it thoroughly…. But most likely irrelevant since he doesn’t exist either
Again the production is just too similar…. its got Justice written all over it…. Only thing I think that threw ppl off was the bassline… The sound of the bass synth is very Daft Punk… … but the way the bassline rolls… the snap with the perscussion is all Justice
They have an awesome formula but it is super disctinct
Listen to Let love rule and D.A.N.C.E

oh way to much conspiracy going on.
Chris M on: January 29th, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Its just a marketing scam.. justice releases something they fooled around with and sounds half decent… releases it to the blogs.. the they deny making it and says its fake.. big media buzz/lots of hype… justice is fresh in everyones mind. Who wins? Daft punk does the same shit.. welcome to the world of social media and viral marketing. Good job for justice though, i’ve seen this posted on EVERY blog i read.
wizz on: January 29th, 2010 at 5:07 pm

LOVETHYBROTHER on: January 29th, 2010 at 11:38 pm
@ Punisher it is really hard to figure out your point sometimes and I just fucking LOLed out fucking loud at Ding DOng….. but yes there was somebackground needed that I was a little too lazy to go into so thank you for that Punisher
Also bro I never responded to your email because I got swamped but I like your mixtape contest we will get that popping… Or wait did I? Fuck I can’t remember anymore anyways we will get that popping I’m thinking some ill Swag autographed by someone huge or some serious equipment like the ABleton Bridge
@ Chris M…. I can’t believe for a second that guys who take themselves and their music as seriously as Justice would release something as garbage as beginning of the end…. There was no possble way those drums were made on an 808 or an Oberheim either…. Keedz was an ill marketing scam though

sorry lee, didnt mean to come across as rude, but yeah i guess i didnt get the point of the post…it seemed to target justice lack of hot music as of late…or maybe peoples ears are just not down with the lack of progression justice has been showing…either way …by the way how weird is minimal music, saw that kimberly chick lastnight with her weird sister who only dances and didnt touch a knob all night…her tits were hanging out all night so funny
