NROTB

I accidentally walked into these guys first jam ever back in 2006 in a tiny, but legendary, hole in the wall called Vinyl…. I don’t remember much of that night or the next morning which means it must have been pretty sick.   Over the years that little debaucherous get-together has turned into one of the most influential party movements in Canada introducing artists like Foamo, Don Rimini, Jokers of the Scene, Bang Gang DJ’s, Heartsrevolution, Kap10Kurt and LeCastleVania to the Montreal scene.

In 2007, they formed the dynamic DJing duo NROTB. This French-Canadian combo consisting of Mister Ed and Mr. P helped kick-start the popularity of Nu-Rave/Indie Rock Remix/Banger/House in the Montreal scene and have, along with Jordan Dare, been resident DJ’s for Montreal’s biggest longest running electro parties – the legendary “I Love Neon” blow-outs. I have been lucky enough to play with these guys (Patrice actually helped connect me up one time when I was too blind drunk to stand!)…. and you won’t find too many guys who can rock a party harder and be such darn swell dudes while doing it.

I asked Patrice to give us an update on what he’s doing…. so here he is in all his french Canadian glory!

“Ok so the Miam Miam track its our new original track that we did about a month ago…. The N.A.S.A. one, its a remix that we did of the M.I.A. and spankrock feature, which N.A.S.A. and the label loved it so much that they sign the remix :)

We are back from a mini tour in LA. that was great, we play the Dance party with DJ Paparazzi, its always a crazy party there, and we play the Blow Up LA party in a huge warehouse downtown LA, its was a lot of fun… We will be back on the road soon… We are currently working on a new remix for this french pop band Pony Pony Run Run. We just finish our Major Lazer remix of hold the line…
We’re producing at our studio in Montreal with a combination of analog and digital gear. With influences ranging from 90s Rave and House to Kuduro, our sound comes from equipment such as the Korg MS-20, Juno 60, MC202, and the legendary TR-808 drum machine.”

With these new tracks, we have found our sound and continue to follow what we like… Our new sound has more bounce to it”

Alright so without further ado I’ll give you the tracks!
