I recently came across this trailer for the newest season of the UK smash-hit show Skins, with a track from our good friends Designer Drugs. For those of you who haven’t seen the show, you should definitely try to find a place to watch the first three original seasons. Skins tells the story of a group of underground/indie/dance (someone really needs to come up with a good term for this) London youth, with the help of an amazing soundtrack. Make sure you find the UK versions of the show as they have the better soundtrack, including tons of amazing Dubstep, Electro and Indie from established and unknown artists.

What’s really special about Skins is the influence which it has had on youth party culture in the UK and abroad. A number of Skins parties started to pop-up influenced by the epic jams thrown on this show putting a bit of the DIY ethos back into the party scene. There definitely is a pretty solid bond between this bit of quality imported television and our scene, and I suggest everyone check it out.
