Last summer, the day after the biggest music festival of the year, we decided to shoot a video for Saintwoods.com author Barletta‘s popband the Mak3out. I’m not sure how it was decided that the day after Time festival was a good date to shoot and at the time I was seriously doubting that a single person would show up… But friendship, loyalty and the fear of pissing off Barletta’s manager, all-around badass Anna Von, was enough incentive to corral up a string of Toronto’s finest party animals. With maybe 24 hours of sleep between 30 people we got to re-enacting a more pg-13 version of the last night’s party. Basically the plot of this video pretty much summed up the actual events of the day as our house was invaded by a huge crew of hipsters in full emo gear. But underneath the black eyeliner and the Rugby shirts everyone basically loves a good kegger and the day turned out to be a blast as everyone bonded over liquor, pizza and Barletta’s super catchy pop track.

All in all, I think for one of the first videos put out by Saintwoods director in residency, the esteemed Ray Klonsky, it turned out pretty good… Who knows maybe teenyboppers everywhere will soon be humming the lyrics and putting posters of Barletta up in their bedrooms
