Prepare yourselves. This is such a massive track. After videos surfaced of Erol Alkan dropping it a few weeks ago, hype began to build. Amazingly, thanks to Joost van Bellen and Rauw Blog, the track was was released for free! Junkie XL has absolutely killed it. The remix starts off with a nice techno vibe and throughout the 7 minutes builds into an all out electro-rock bomb. I’m gonna go listen to it 20 more times, enjoy!

Crookers – Cooler Couleur (Junkie XL Remix)

Here’s the newest track from the Crookers, which is something a little bit more “banger.” Definitely along the lines of the Sound of Stereo sound, I think this track will receive a lot of play as we draw closer to festival season.

The duo also recently released their first LP entitled “Tons of Friends.” Make sure to check it out at your local record store, or at all online digital distributors.

I have been following the Italian group Reset! for quite awhile. They have been putting out excellent tracks over the past 6 months, and have just been signed on by my favorite label Cheap Thrills. These guys have followed in the footsteps of fellow Italians Crookers creating bass heavy, “ghetto” fidget. Their remix of The Count and Sinden’s new release, ‘Elephant 1234′, is massive. Today, I’m posting my favorite track of theres. It’s a remix of Cassius’s ‘Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes’. I heard this song out a few weeks ago and have been playing it frequently as well. It’s got a crazy funky bassline and an epic breakdown and vocals.

I’m expecting big things from these guys in the future!

Cassius – Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes (Reset! Trouble Remix)

So…I don’t know what Crookers‘ deal with animals is, but if it helps them crank out tunes like this, I’m down.  Here, plucky synth lines and squelches of bass coalesce into a track that’s alot more interesting than anything else they’ve put out lately.

Grand Theft Auto IV jumped on the electro bandwagon this past year by adding an electro radio station to their long list of music stations you can listen to when playing the video game. Man has this song grown on me, as of late. Definitely loving the interesting and unique direction they are taking with their music videos and overall aesthetic for their upcoming album, tons of friends. Still waiting to get my hands on a solid copy of this track to start to play out in my sets. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the song and video? Remember Crookers love animals, and they also love you!

Until about 2 weeks ago I had never heard of Boris Dlugosch. This appears to be the case with the rest of the world as he seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Last week he released ‘Bangkok’ on Erol Alkan’s label Phantasy Sounds. Hype surrounding the track has grown to astronomical levels after it started being played at festivals in late summer. First I heard it was a new Afrojack track, then that it was the new Crookers track, etc, etc, etc. Alkan has been the biggest supporter of the track thus far and Busy P just dropped it in his Essential Mix. This is definitely going to contend for track of the year. Sadly, since it’s an official release, I can only up the track at 128 kbps, but if you like what you hear, buy it over at Beatport.
