Sorry for the lack of posts from me in the last week. Things were crazy busy getting ready for Woodwork festival, and I’ve spent the last few days recovering and nursing myself back to full health. Our good friend Chew Fu just threw together another one of his infamous fixes, for the Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s smash Telephone.
I was just talking to a friend the other day about how no one is really trying to make good music videos anymore, since the budgets just aren’t there. Then I come across this gem of a video for Lady Gaga’s Telephone track. The 10 minute epic of a video is pretty visually amazing, with tons of really cool ideas. It seems like they helped to pay for this video by licensing out ad-space to HP, Virgin Mobile, Beats by Dre, Plenty of Fish, Polaroid, Miracle Whip, and Wonderbread. I wonder if this is a trend that we’ll start seeing, in order to pay for these kind of high-budget videos.
Perez Hilton, the world’s premier blogger (my favorite is Nik Richie but that’s another story) world premiered Chew Fu’s new track this morning; a banging remix of Lady Gaga’s ‘Love Game’ featuring vocals by Marilyn Manson. The response has been amazing and the post is his most commented on and most emailed today.
If you’ve ever read this blog before, you know how much we admire Chew Fu’s work…there’s not much more we can say about him that we haven’t already.
