It was a cold night in Montreal. -43 degrees to be exact. Those who braved the extreme conditions were witness to one of the most well rounded sets in recent memory. We recorded it for your listening pleasure and will be posting it in the near future along with a video interview and footage from the night. Until then, enjoy some pictures and follow the links to hit up our friends Goldzmine, 4mtl, and nightlife who came out and took photos. Bigs up to KIMBERLY KITTY and the whole SW team B. Neal, Chef Brian, and the ever popular and gaining fame Kid Aloha for killing the opening sets. Check more pics after the JUMP!

Keys N’ Krates are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Using live instrumentation, turntablism, and live sampling to flip music right before your eyes, KNK have ‘re‐invented the remix’. The trio consists of world champion turntablist and certified DJ Jr-Flo (Eh! Team), the ever soulful Matisse on keys and Tune on drums. URB Magazine recently ranked Keys N’ Krates in their prestigious NEXT100 musicians of the year, and their mini-documentary on the group (below) explains why KNK’s live remix is something you have to see to believe.

Debated posting this just because the video footage is poorly shot (our camera man got too wasted) but people have told me they found it entertaining just cause of how wasted everybody is. Enjoy!
More vids from our video production unit this week. woot woot.
We keeps it coming, as promised. This was definitely our most epic party to date, although I have a feeling we may top it in March when Calvin Harris and Laidback Luke…I’ve said too much. For this vid, we had a lot of great long shots from the night so you can really see what you missed or re-live that magical/totally evil affair. Had to start the vid with the extended intro of Warp 1977 just cause it was so crazy. Does anyone have footage from the back? I was standing back there with the lighting guy and it looked wayyy more intense.
PS This one is a must watch in HD because it was shot on the Cannon 5d. So follow the link and click the highest quality…almost as if you can reach into the screen and pull the image out.
PPS The track played for the extended intro with the quick cuts is a preview of Love Thy Brother’s new song which will drop soontime.
Watch Steve bring the house down with Warp 1.7 and more as The Cobrasnake takes it all in. Good times in the Monty!
Follow the youtube link and watch in HD. JUSSSST DO IT! (PS: The first track is a little preview of LOVE THY BROTHER’s new track)
I know I know…we’ve been holding onto all this footage for a long time. This week we will empty our archives with party and interview footage from the last part of 2009. The hope in these vids isn’t to throw fast cuts over a super high energy song. Instead, we wanted to use some longer shots to give you an idea of what the party was actually like. Sometimes the sound isn’t great, sometimes the camera is a little shaky, but the point is to re-capture the energy of the party and to show you some mixes and give you an idea of the respective sets that were played. Also coming soon, an All Star Weekend compilation vid with the x-rated action in all its splendor, and our coverage of Embrace’s Time Festival this past summer. If your an eager beaver and want to see all the vids now just visit the saintwoods youtube page linked here:

PS: Follow the link and watch in HD. It’s better…we promise
