I found this track through a post from our homie (and photographer) Jamie Coveny and I must say it has my interest peaked. The producer, a 20 year old Romanian who goes by the name E M P T, seems to flawlessly mix deep house and chilled out new school into a sound that I feel many of us can relate to these days. Check out Could Be below and let’s keep an eye out for what’s next for this young gun.
Although Bada$$’s mixtape was pushed back to July 1st (FML), we can enjoy the second drop off his upcoming “Summer Knights” mixtape. 95 till Infiniti, produced by Lee Bannon, shows us a new, harder flowing, Pro Era front man. Now although I definitely don’t prefer his new flow to his classic one, it is absolutely crazy to see how diverse this young man is…. peep back for more info soon.
Check out our homie Strange Armand‘s latest… word is we can expect much more from this man in the next couple months, stay tuned for more info coming soon.
The newest release by Jesse Rose & Thee Mike B is fun and very very disco inspired. I normally don’t love overly disco-inspired tracks nor am I a huge fan of tracks completely void of lyrics… that being said, I CAN’T WAIT to here this in a club. Listen to this latest release off Play it Down / Made to Play and stay tuned for more!
Montreal based singer/songwriter Black Atlass released his first single with Fool’s Gold Records yesterday and one might say it isn’t exactly what the label is famous for (that mix between electro and hip-hop, and most recently acts like Danny Brown). With all that on the table however, Black Atlass’s most recent single Paris would be a seriously good look for any label. His sound is original yet familiar and the quality of both the production and the vocals are definitely worth hearing.Check out both the original and the acoustic track below as well as the all new video…. let us know what you think and show some love, Montreal on the come up!

Boys Noize released the first track off of his “Go Hard” EP and it is definitely not what I expected. With probably the hardest Disco sound I’ve ever heard in new school EDM, Starwin makes me feel like it is an attempt to make a statement. What that statement is yet… I’m not sure, but the track is worth a listen and I’m really curious what you all think about it. The “GO HARD” EP incl. 5 brand new tracks will be out digitally on JUNE 24 plus a limited edition of an awesome picture vinyl
