On Monday my favorite label in the entire universe Made To Play released a new EP from Oliver $. I was super excited to get my hands on iHope after hearing it in the recent Renaissance Man mix I posted here. ‘iHope’ another piece of sample based house that we’ve come to expect from the Berlin label. Below is a really random video, apparently relating to the track names (iHope and Ginger Ale) that previews both tracks on the EP. As a little gift so you won’t go away empty handed, I’ve uploaded his smashing remix of Riva Starr’s ‘Dance Me’ as well. Riva Starr has become quite the household name in the past few months and looks like he will be in the limelight for awhile. I have really enjoyed just about everything I’ve heard from him over the past few months. Awhile ago, he released ‘Trompe D’Amour” as a free download from his blog. This song has seriously been stuck in my head for like a week. I’m absolutely loving this Jackin’ Tech-House sound right now and after the massive releases from Made To Play and Sound Pellegrino earlier in the week, I truly think this is the sound of 2010.
