Montreal based singer/songwriter Black Atlass released his first single with Fool’s Gold Records yesterday and one might say it isn’t exactly what the label is famous for (that mix between electro and hip-hop, and most recently acts like Danny Brown). With all that on the table however, Black Atlass’s most recent single Paris would be a seriously good look for any label. His sound is original yet familiar and the quality of both the production and the vocals are definitely worth hearing.Check out both the original and the acoustic track below as well as the all new video…. let us know what you think and show some love, Montreal on the come up!
Black Tiger Sex Machine’s label Kannibalen has been picking up some serious steam, their releases are growing to say the least and they just smashed an Igloofest showcase with critical acclaim. As a gift to their fans for reaching 10,000 fans the boys released a free track to their fans, check it out below, and after that watch the recap of their Igloofest smash, enjoy.
After his critically acclaimed performance at the Grammy’s Justin Timberlake went to Youtube to release his second single off his upcoming album “The 20/20 Experience”. Mirrors is a formidable track lasting nearly 10 minutes… I would say that the obviously Timbaland beat is a little too similar to Timberlake’s last album, but hey that was 7 years ago and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it…. right? Regardless check out the track below:
Pro Era golden boy Joey Bada$$ released a new single titled unorthodox for Green Label Sound earlier this week. Produced by DJ Premier this ode to old school hip-hop is what has been making Bada$$ so damn fun to listen to. When everyone is going new school it’s pretty cool to stay classic and this is what Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era crew is all about; listen to the track below and let me know what you think.

Jessie Rose’s vinyl release of his Good Intent remix is only scheduled for January 14th, but today he released a free download for anyone who is interested. The track fuzes Kimbra’s soft, borderline hypnotic, vocals with Rose’s typical funk to come together and create a sound that will surely pop in 2013…
Lana Del Rey released a remix to her single Ride produced by UK house and garage producer MJ Cole. The production is a deep techy beat which, when put along with Del Rey’s vocals, creates an eerie yet funky project, great for both pre-drinks and after parties.
Kid Cudi just released the artwork for his new single, I didn’t post the track when it first came out but there is some new mystery to the track. Cudi went to his facebook page today to say: “JUST WHAT I AM… coming October 2nd” which is pretty peculiar considering the tracks already out. Perhaps that means a video or an itunes version but who knows… could mean an EP or mixtape. We’ll have to wait and see, but for now enjoy the track and the new artwork.
The boys from the hood Adventure Club just realeased their newest single, and obviously, it doesn’t disappoint. Wait is an amazing track that finds its sound in merging both electro and dubstep whilst using Adventure Club’s soft vocal touch. This song is sure to be a huge hit this summer so make sure to catch the boys at anyone of their many shows or festival gigs.
