Our good friends Torro Torro have just flipped the Styrofoam Ones’ city anthem O.T.T.A.P. into a fast paced head fuck. Torro Torro opts for a heavy electro treatment of the track, packed with tons of swing and vocals ready to pump up the party. This track is a tried and true banger, especially for the big festival sets.

Yo Ev of Torro Torro finally gave me the okay to post up this massive track. For any of you who were at Kill Halloween, you know just how much of a banger this track is. There have been a ton of remixes of Gladiator from the likes of AC Slater, Klever, and Steve Aoki and DJ AM, yet Torro Torro have managed to keep the track fresh and really stand out amongst the crowd in my opinion.

For the Toronto heads out there, make sure you check out Torro Torro @ the Social with B. Rich (facebook event). Expect much more from Torro Torro, in the near future, including an upcoming remix of Jully Black, which I’m very excited about.

I think at this point most everyone realizes that the Bloody Beetroots show on Saturday is going to be the craziest night of our lives. The show they played at S.A.T. in April is still the craziest and best electro event I’ve ever attended. Obviously I’m most excited to see the Beetroots, but I’m also super excited that Toronto’s Torro Torro has been added to the bill. These guys have absolutely killed everything they have touched since they started releasing material this summer. Their remix of Barletta’s ‘Panther’ was my favorite track of the summer. Check out the stuff in their myspace player, linked above, cause its all absolute fire. One track not on the site is their remix of Esser’s ‘Work It Out’. It’s a straight electro banger and I cannot get enough of it. Enjoy the track and GET READY FOR SATURDAY!

I don’t know if you guys remember but last week I was praying for Chromeo to drop something on us… I even took the time to make a witty little overture to the kings of lounge chock full of Chromeo puns and all… Well our hometown boys must have heard me and decided to answer my prayers with this new signature sex-saturated  explosion with an almost epic vibe… if beautifully sleazy synth-pop can be called epic!
