Remember back to Halloween and the epic set by The Bloody Beetroots. As expected, The Telus Theatre almost exploded when Warp was dropped (twice!). But this wasn’t the banger to end all bangers Warp 1.9, nor was it the more melodic Warp 7.7. In fact, it was Warp 1977, a combination of both tracks which was premiered just a week earlier at I Love Techno in Ghent. I can honestly say i was growing a bit tired of Warp, although still love hearing it live ’cause nothing amps a crowd up more. 1977 doesn’t change the track in any crazy ways, but definitely takes it up to another level of awesomeness and gives it some new legs. Today I’m posting a preview of the track (big ups to our homies at Duke Of Swabia for the heads up on this.). You can cop the full song December 8th when it’s released on DIM MAK.
