I stumbled upon this bit of hilarity thanks to a recent post on JFK’s twitter, and have been meaning to post it up since then.
i dont remember us being in this ludacris video…? http://vimeo.com/8893404
3:23 PM Jan 29th from web
I suggest you watch the whole video, as its pretty entertaining, but if you want to cut to the chase, skip ahead to 1:20. The whole video has a weird ghost/horror movie meets rave vibe, and this is topped off by the appearance of two dancers clearly dressed as MSTRKRFT circa 2008.
Searching for answers I hit up the wikipedia for How Low, which didn’t have information on the video. However, I did find out that the track was produced by Toronto native T-Minus. Not sure if this has any connection to the video, and the whole thing is a bit of a weird mystery.
If anyone has more info on this, hit up the comment section, I’d love to find out more.
Mr. Ed of NROTB, just sent over this mix for his Tech-House side project Panton, and it sure is a sick one! The mix features a number of exclusive tracks from Panton, including Favela, which is one of my top tracks of the moment. Make sure to keep an eye out for his EP coming soon on Southern Fried Records.
Etienne De Crecy is one of my favourite artists and arguably has one of the craziest wild shows out there — His Beats ‘N’ Cubes tour is supposedly awesomely epic. The price tag on it is insane which is why you haven’t seen an Etienne De Cracy North American Tour yet and may not for awhile…. Although if one does materialize you can bet we’re going to try our very darn hardest to bring him to Montreal. This track here is one of the tracks from his live show with some help from SW favorites the Bloody Beetroots. The welcome EP drops February 8th!

Alright this is a completely random post, but it was too good to not share. The good folks at MTV decided to unleash Snooki of Jersey Shore fame upon the Red Carpet at the Grammys. The best of the bunch pitted Snooks against French Indie-kings Phoenix. In related news, The Jersey Shore recently got picked up for a Second Season, so there will be much of Snooki, the Situation, and all your favorite guidos.
Now here’s Yuksek’s remix of Lisztomania, with hopes of making this post somewhat relevant.

I’m starting off the week with a twist with these two. Generally I am seriously opposed to mash ups, but in a sea of nostalgia I have caved. These two tracks throw back concepts to when we all started to learned how to blend tracks, and when you excitedly realised , “Oh shit, these sounds great together.” The first of which is a Tape Deck Bros. song called “Science Fiction,” which is an arpeggiated masterpeice which flawlessly fit with Gaga’s new smash hit, “Telephone”. The second is none other than the all familiar indie hero’s of the UK, the XX, wherein I mashed Crystalised with Supermodes “Tell me why.”
